Teased a few months ago, the GO Combat League finally makes its debut on mobile gaming Pokémon GO. If fights between friends or against trainers were already available, today we are talking about a real online competition system. Available to all players above level 10, this feature allows you to fight against players from all over the world, increase your ranking and win rewards.
How to participate in the GO Combat League?
In order to activate the feature, you will have to walk a few kilometers! Only 3 times a day, you will be able to unlock 5 online matches (and therefore 15 matches per day). To unlock 5 fights, you must walk 5km.
Additionally, it is possible to use the “battle now” option by spending some Pokécoins. This allows you to access the battle without walking.
How do the matches go?
The fights with global ranking will take place on specific dates and according to the three available leagues (super, hyper and master). Before being able to participate in the first season of GO fights, there will be a pre-season.

- Hyper League : Monday February 10 at 10:00 p.m.
- Master League : Monday February 24 at 10:00 p.m.
- Super League : Monday March 9 at 10:00 p.m.
Rewards to obtain
By fighting, you can earn many in-game rewards. The higher your win rate, the higher your rank and the more rewards you will earn. The maximum Rank to reach is Rank 10! Here are some of the rewards you can get:
- Stardust
- Super Candy
- CT Charged Attack and Immediate Attack
New cosmetics
To celebrate the arrival of the GO Combat League, new customization items will be available for your avatar. Be careful though, they are unlocked according to your ranking, as a reward. In the same way, it will be possible to capture a Pikachu Wrestler.
