Pokemon GO: How to beat Ho-Oh and Lugia in raid?

You have never had the chance to capture one of the two legendary birds from the 2nd generation on Pokémon GO? Or do you want to find them in their shiny version? Know that Ho-Oh is back for a limited time on the application!

Currently, only Ho-Oh is available from January 1, 2021 until January 5, 2021 in 5-star Raids all over the arenas. You just need to be at least 4 (with good Pokémon) to try your luck and beat them. Lugia should follow soon.

The two legendaries will be available in their shiny version so don’t hesitate to do several raids per day thanks to the Premium Pass !

How to beat Ho-Oh

Of types Fire And FlightHo-oh owns 48,276 Combat Points. Ho-Oh’s main weaknesses are type attacks Rock, Electric And Water (but watch out for his Sun Launcher attack). The ideal way to beat him easily would be a group of 8 players (level 30 minimum) with teams made up of the following Pokémon:

Regirock

With the Rock Throw and Rock Blade attacks.

Tyranitar

With the Bite and Rock Blade attacks

Rayquaza

With Draco-Tail and Ancient Power

Kyogre

With Cascade and Hydro Cannon (do not use this Pokémon if Ho-Oh has Sun Launcher)

Raikou

With Change-Eclair and Crazy Lightning (or Thunder)

Staross

With O-Gun and Gem Ray (if you don’t have any Legendaries at your disposal, use Starmie and any other Water, Rock or Electric type Pokémon)

How to beat Lugia

Of types Psych And Flight, Lugia possessed 42,753 Combat Points. Lugia’s main weaknesses are type attacks. Rock, Electric And Ice (to fight its Flying type) and/or Insect, Spectrum And Darkness (to fight his Psychic side). The ideal way to beat him easily would be a group of 8 players (level 30 minimum) with teams made up of the following Pokémon:

Tyranitar

With Bite and Chew attacks

Rayquaza

With Dragon Tail and Anger

Raikou

With Change-Eclair and Eclair Fou

Mewtwo

With Psycho Cup and Shadow Ball

Staross

With O-Gun and Gem Ray (if you don’t have any Legendaries at your disposal, use Starmie and any other Water, Rock or Electric type Pokémon)

With Low Kick and Shadow Ball
