To get Regigigas in the game, and other exclusive bonuses, you had to buy a special ticket. But here are all the details related to this event.
A Prodigious Discovery: The Special Studies Scenario
These are special field studies (like Jirachi for example) that are only available by purchasing a ticket at the moment.
Today, Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (local time) it is therefore possible to complete them.
How to buy a ticket?
For now, the date of the ticket going on sale has not been communicated but you will be able to buy the ticket until November 2nd. Follow Pokémon GO on Social Media to be kept informed. When the ticket goes on sale, you will need to follow these steps:
- Press the Learn More button from the store.
- Press the Buy button.
- You will then receive a message stating that you have received a ticket for the event “A Colossal Discovery”. After clicking OK, the ticket will appear in your Item Bag.
- Before the event, you will receive a medal. Once the event starts, when you open the app, you will have access to a Special Research called “A Colossal Discovery”.
For your information, the ticket costs $7.99 and allows you to access other in-game bonuses:
- A medal “A colossal discovery”
- Up to 10 additional Raid Passes for free during the Special Research storyline when you spin an Arena Photo Disc. These Raid Passes will no longer be available once the event ends. You cannot hold more than one Raid Pass at a time.
- A Stone of Unys,
- a Sinnoh Stone
- and an exclusive avatar pose (see below) during this Special Study
How to access the ticket on the day?
To receive the Special Research titled “A Colossal Discovery,” you must open Pokémon GO during the event on Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Once collected, you can complete the Special Research at any time.

Get Regigigas without paying?
The special, paid ticket allows you to get the Legendary Pokémon early, as well as other in-game bonuses! But if you don’t want to spend a single cent, know that Regigigas will be making its debut in EX Raids starting in November. This means doing a lot of Raids in the gyms around you, in order to maximize your chances of getting an EX Raid invitation.
