It’s party time on Pokémon GO! Like every year, the anniversary of the license is celebrated with lots of in-game bonuses. Mewtwo in armor makes its big comeback, some Pokémon are wearing a new party hat and much more.

Every year, on February 27, the Pokémon license celebrates its anniversary. It was in 1996 that the first games were released! And like every year since its launch, Pokémon GO celebrates this anniversary as it should. This famous #PokemonDay is the ideal time to take advantage of many bonuses on the application.

Event Dates

You will be able to take advantage of the various Pokémon Day bonuses from Tuesday February 25 2020 at 10 p.m. at Monday March 2nd 2020 at 10 p.m.

Pokemon with party hat

Here is the list of Pokémon that are available with the Party Hat, and how to obtain them.

Nidorino

In 2-star Raids only on Sunday March 1st from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Ectoplasma

In 4-star Raids only on Sunday March 1st from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Mewtwo in Armor

To celebrate the release of the movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back EVOLUTION, the famous legendary Pokémon returns to Pokémon GO with its Armor. You will be able to fight it in 5-star Raids.

Cloned Pokémon

Similarly, to celebrate the release of the 22nd film, Cloned Pokémon are making their debut on Pokémon GO. The visuals are not yet available but there is no doubt that, like in the film, they will be different colors (with stripes for example).

Venusaur

Available in 4-star Raids.

Charizard

Available in 4-star Raids.

Tortank

Available in 4-star Raids.

Pikachu

Available via GO Snapshot (take pictures of a Pokémon and Cloned Pikachu will photobomb the photo).
