A wave of new creatures have been appearing on Pokémon GO since the arrival of the Alola Season. The seventh generation of pocket monsters is therefore in the spotlight and a few events allow you to obtain them more easily.
How to get Tritox on Pokémon GO?
Tritox and Malamandre are only available since the event Team GO Rocket Offensive: General Restwhich was held from April 3 to 7, 2022. Even though the event is over, it is still possible to get 12km eggs and hatch them in the hope of seeing a Tritox come out. Currently, this is the only way to obtain the 7G lizard but it may return in other events or in Raids.
How to evolve Tritox into Malamandre?
You can’t evolve your Tritox into a Malamandre? This is normal, you may not have checked its gender! Tritox can only evolve if it is a female. Apparently, the chance of getting a female Tritox in 12km eggs is rather low (less than 15%). So you will need a little patience and a lot of walking to hope to get a Malamandre.
Note that you also need 50 Tritox Candies to evolve it into Malamandre. Getting a single Tritox in an egg will therefore not be enough for you.
Tritox and Malamandre Shiny
Unlike Rocabot who was given his chromatic form as soon as he was introduced in the game, Tritox and Malamandre are not currently available in shiny form on Pokémon GO.
