The Valentine’s Day event has begun on Pokémon GO. And to celebrate love, Mamanbo and Nanméouie are making their first appearance in the game. But other surprises like Shiny Excelangue are also waiting for you.
Like every year, Pokémon GO celebrates Valentine’s Day in February. Pink Pokémon are obviously back with a higher spawn rate, but this event especially marks the arrival of Shiny Excelangue, Nanméouie and Mamanbo!
Date of the event
Valentine’s Day 2020 is on Friday February 14, 2020 at 8am on Monday February 17 at 10 p.m.

Shiny Pokémon
Special Raid Day
On Saturday, February 15th from 2pm to 5pm, there will be a special Raid day. All arenas will then be occupied by 4-star Raids of Excelangue. He can then be found in his chromatic form and know the Tackle attack.
Additionally, you can receive up to 5 free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Pokéstops during the event.
Special Friendship Weekend
Love is important, but so is friendship! Therefore, a special Pokémon weekend is being organized from Friday, February 21, 2020 at 8 a.m. to Monday, February 24, 2020 at 10 p.m. Here are the bonuses:
- Friendship levels will increase faster
- Exchange Candy x2
- Stardust cost of trades divided by 2
- The number of gifts you can open daily will increase to 40.
- The number of gifts you can keep in your inventory will increase to 20.
