Pokemon Masters, Guide, Beginner – Millenium

Welcome to you young trainers, are you looking for a guide to get started in the Passio region? This beginner’s guide on Pokémon Masters is made for you.

Arrival in Pokémon Masters

When you arrive on the game, you are offered to create your own avatar with a Pikachu. Once this is done, your journey can finally begin. In your quest to become the best trainer, you will meet different Duos who will accompany you but we will talk about them later.

For now, we suggest you see the different menus available in the central hub.

Pokémon Masters

In this place which will serve as an interface between the different menus, you will be able to:

  • Talk to the different characters who wander around there to get gifts from time to time.
  • Access the shop to be able to obtain Duos, buy diamonds or exchange items.
  • Have access to your team and Duos settings.
  • Access more settings via the phone located at the bottom. We will come back to this menu later.
  • Go on an adventure.

Getting started in the game

It’s all well and good to talk about the menus, but the most important thing is to know where and with what to start. As is often the case in this type of game, you should always start with the scenario and this one is no exception to this rule. In addition, it is strongly recommended that you play the story up to Chapter 6 which is called “Lessons of the Aura“. With this you will get the Cornelia&Lucario Duo who is one of the best strikers in the game right now.

After unlocking Cornelia, you have several options.

The first is to continue the storyline and unlock other Duos. like Tili & Raichu from Alola.

The second is to choose to train your Duos which make up your team with the Bonus areas. These areas will allow you to obtain different objects all useful for increasing your units, learning active and passive skills as well as increasing the maximum level. Among these objects, you will find Sodas of three colors (Red, Blue and Green), reinforcement manuals or even Motivations. If you want to see the different objects in your possession, it is quite possible to do so via the phone menu (located at the bottom right).

By the way, let’s now see the hidden menus behind this little technological gem, the Porygophone.

Secondary menus

Pokémon Masters

The so-called secondary menus are those that are not found on the central hub interface. Among them we find menus like game settings, Friends, bag, missions and even the game codex. You will also find your number of badges as well as your ID and resources. Speaking of resources, something should give you a clue.

Indeed, Pokémon Masters is one of those games that distinguishes between free and paid currency. How important is that, you might ask? We’ll find out now with how to get Duos.

The Duos

Pokémon Masters

First of all, you should know that each Duo has several characteristics, four skills (two attacks and two buffs/heals), of a duo capacityofa guy and ofa weakness. THE attacks are only of one and the same type As for the various active skills, they are limited to two uses each per fight. In addition, you will be able to unlock a passive by training your units. Let’s go back to the different characteristics of a Duo.

Characteristics of a Duo

PV : Number of Life Points

Attack : Stat on which physical damage is based.

Defense : Stat on which physical damage reduction is based.

Atk. Spec. : Stat on which special damage is based..

Def. Spec. : Stat on which special damage reduction is based.

Speed : Stat on which the attack gauge charging speed is based.

Rarity : Number of stars of your Duo.

Role : Role of your Duo among the three available. Attack (attacker), Tactic (Buff), Support (Status and HP healing)

Now let’s look at how to summon units since some are obtainable in story mode while others are only summonable.

Summon a Duo

To be able to do this operation, you will need: diamonds that you can get for free in-game or by paying with real money. Small peculiarity, free diamonds do not allow you to benefit from the simple invocation at 100 diamonds instead of 300. You will therefore need these 300 diamonds to be able to summon a single Duo of rarity 3 to 5 stars. If you have the possibility of making a banner guaranteeing a 5 star character, it is of course recommended that you do so. Currently, only paid diamonds can allow you to have a multi with guaranteed 5* (Valid once).

To conclude, what exactly should we do in Pokémon Masters?

  • Level up different Duos and unlock their abilities
