Available since November 23, 2016, the Ditto Pokémon can sometimes be very difficult to catch on Pokémon GO! And for good reason: this little trickster disguises itself as other Pokémon in the game and you have to have a keen eye to find it. Pokémon Morphing: How to catch Ditto?
Ditto will never appear in its true form in the wild. That is to say, on your game screen, you will not see Ditto. You will therefore have to find the Pokémon that it disguised itself as in order to hope to obtain it.
- Walk around a bit until you come across a Pokémon that Ditto likes to imitate (list available below),
- Capture the Pokémon in question: if an “Oh?” appears on the screen, it was actually a Ditto.

What does Shiny Ditto look like?
Ditto has been available in Shiny form since the Pokémon Go Kanto Tour on February 20, 2021. You can recognize it by its sky blue color instead of pink, and small stars appear next to its name. Since September 1, 2021, it has been available in Shiny form in the wild.
