The event Psy Phantasmagoria is back on Pokémon GO from Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 10 a.m. to Monday, September 12, 2022 at 8 p.m. It’s a chance to catch a ton of Psychic-type Pokémon and also battle Mega Alakazam in Raids. After the targeted study of Sepiatop, this is the first big event of the new Season of Light on Niantic’s mobile game.

This year, the event highlights Mega-Alakazam who will make his debut in the Mega Raids, but also Deoxys who will appear in the Raids in all his forms.
- Evolve Kadabra (Abra’s evolution) or catch Alakazam in raids during the event to obtain an Alakazam that knows the Charged Attack Psychic,
- Don’t forget that the special study A Cosmic Companion, allowing you to capture Cosmog, requires you to obtain Psychic-type Pokémon, so take advantage of it!
- A one-time study focusing on Effect Throws will be available during the event! Complete the study to earn encounters with Lewsor (available in shiny for the first time)
Lewsor shiny and its evolution
For the first time since the release of Pokémon GO, the alien Lewsor (Roswell in slang) will be available in a shiny version. By evolving it, you will also obtain a Neitram (Martian) in shiny. Shiny Lewsor has pink eyes instead of green. Neitram has blue eyes instead of green.

Throughout the event, some Psychic-type Pokémon will appear more often in the wild, in Eggs, as Field Research rewards, and in Raids. It’s even a chance to catch Unown!
