The Gerudo Desert will surely get you eventually, especially with this kind of shrine! Here’s how to complete Zelda TotK’s “The Bridge on the Sand” challenge to tame the Yellow Sea and recover your chest and the Light of Charity.

This is a Zelda Tears of the Kingdom shrine that is a little more difficult to complete than the others and that should test your patience. Find the video guide at the top of the article as well as a written and illustrated version below to better understand how to surf on the sand.

Where to find the Qudani Sala shrine?

We recommend completing the Lightning Temple before you begin, to remove the mist from the Gerudo Desert. Also equip yourself with heat-resistant clothing or drink a medicine to withstand the high temperatures of the region. Head south of the Gerudo Heights Tower, below Caltice Valley.

How to complete it?

  • This shrine is quite complex: you will have to use different wooden planks and rafts to be able to advance on the shifting sand,
  • In the first room, try to assemble several boards together to create a passage to the stable platform,
  • Your goal is to cross the grid to get to the other side: stick two boards together to form a sort of slope and climb on it,
  • Once on the other side, cross the sand to reach the ladder.
  • At the top, press the yellow tile so that a metal ball is propelled to the other side of the room,
  • Then go down towards the ball and create a slope to prepare your future return,
  • Use the speeder to move forward on the sand,
  • The chest is located at the top right of you, protected by a Golem: you must use a plank to climb onto the platform,
  • Take your speeder back to reach the bottom, where the metal ball is,
  • You can do Infiltration on the grates to climb up and reach the inside,
  • Eliminate the two golems on top,
  • Once inside, first take the metal ball, at the edge of the portal, and stick it on a speeder,
  • Step on the switch to open the gate and use the speeder to go back to where you created a wooden slope,
  • Climb up with the ball and place it in its base to open the final grid.
