Rumor: the RTX 5070 Ti would have 8,960 cores and 300W TDP

In the absence of official confirmation from NVIDIA, everything seems to indicate that the range RTX50 from NVIDIA will be officially presented at CES 2025, an event that takes place during the first week of January in the city of Las Vegas. The first models that will see the light are the RTX 5090 and the RTX 5080. Of these two graphs, in the absence of official confirmation, we know practically all their specifications.

By the end of the first quarter of 2025, the RTX 5070about which we barely know any information. The latest news related to NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series suggests that the RTX 5070 will have a more powerful brother with the RTX 5070 Ti.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti

According to Videocardz, through one of its sources, the company run by Jensen Huang is working on the RTX 5070 Tia graph that until now we had no news about. This may indicate that this model is still in a very early development phase and could take a year to reach the market.

This media claims that the GeForce RTX 5070 will have 8960 CUDA cores which implies that you will use the GB203 GPU. If this information is true, it is a new graphics card different from the RTX 5070 that is rumored to use the GB205 GPU.

This new model will require a power of 300Wfor the 400 of the RTX 5080 and the 250 of the RTX 5070. The RTX 5090 aims for a consumption of 600W. Once again, it is worth remembering that we are talking about rumors, since there is no official information about it.

All the information related to the new RTX 50 series graphics will be shown when they are officially presented, at least that which affects the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, which will be the first to hit the market.

At the moment, we only know the estimated consumption and the GPU it will include for the RTX 5070 Ti. The information related to the memory type that you will use, although it is most likely that it will be GDDR7 just like the rest of the models. The amount at the moment has not been revealed, as has the memory bus and bandwidth, which confirms the theory that it is still a long way from being released to the market.

As Videocardz reminds us, the launch of the RTX 50 is completely outside the calendar to which NVIDIA had accustomed us since since the RTX 20 until the RTX 40passing through the RTX 30had been presented between August and September with a 2-year renewal cycle, so RTX 50 should have been presented in September 2024.

It is likely that part of the reason for delaying the presentation is because it was not until the middle of this year when GDDR7 memories were definitively released and the main manufacturers began to manufacture them. NVIDIA is the first graphics manufacturer that will use them. AMD, with the RX 8000, will continue to use GDDR6 memory, according to sources related to its development.
