In 2024, there were over 1.39 million SHIB holders globally. That shows how popular the meme coin has become. However, one of the leading air filtration companies in the United States has capitalized on those numbers and announced a major integration with the asset.
The Shiba Inu has officially seen the first public company in the United States accept SHIB as a payment method. Speaking about the decision, Kronos CEO Greg Rubin noted that the decision is part of the company’s approach to remaining at the forefront of technology.
“Integrating SHIB as a payment option is consistent with our forward-thinking spirit and commitment to embracing technological advancements,” Rubin said. The CEO said the decision would benefit the company and its customers. It would strengthen Kronos’ position among more tech-savvy consumers while “future-proofing” the company’s strategy.
Over the past 24 hours, SHIB has recovered, up 1.5% and trading at over $0.000017, according to CoinMarketCap. Moreover, its trading volume has increased by over 44% during that time as it firmly holds its place in the top two of the meme cryptocurrency market.
