Sidon of Zora’s Domain Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: How to complete this main quest

Helping Prince Sidon of Zora’s Domain is one of the longest main quests in Zelda TotK. In this guide, we’ll tell you what you need to know to find Lake Toto, find the Zora armor and King Dorefah, understand the riddle of the celestial fish and finally reach the Water Temple.
The young prince of Zora’s Domain is concerned about the troubles that strike the region and the disappearance of his father, the King. With the help of Link, the fish-man will be able to do something concrete against this mysterious slime that has invaded the area in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Here we detail the stages of the main quest, quite complex, before reaching the famous Water Temple.
Yona and the Zora Armor
When you arrive at Zora’s Domain, on the right side of the Hyrule map, you should logically unlock the Observation Tower in the area by helping a poor Zora stuck in the mud. To remove the mudyou just need to throw a water flower (easily found in the area) or a chuchu jelly (by killing the blue chuchu).
Once in the village, talk to the first inhabitants you will see around a statue. Among them is YonaSidon’s wife, who will ask you to help her clean the statue. Nothing could be simpler, once again use water to remove the mud.
The next step is extremely important and can be missed if you don’t pay attention to the dialogues. Yona will thank you and tell you that Sidon is at Mipha Park but that she would like to talk to you first. Find her at Care Centertaking the left stairs from the statue. She will tell you about the Zora armor and the famous Ancient Arowana she needs to repair it.
Zora Armor Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: How to get this outfit?
To go up the waterfalls and reach high points at high speed, you will need the Zora outfit from Zelda TotK. To get it, you will have to take an interest in the main quest of the sea people, whose kingdom is to the east of the map, in the Necluda region.
Main Quest: Sidon of Zora’s Domain
- Equip your Zora armor and head towards thecascade sequence to the right of the estate. Thanks to your outfit, you will be able to go upstream at full speed and arrive at Mipha Park very easily to speak to Sidon,
- The prince will tell you to go see a scholar who is hiding in Lake Toto : this lake is located a few kilometers to the left of Mipha Park, [Quête : La Gravure Cassée]
- Once the broken engraving repaired, Jitato will tell you about the inscriptions and explain that only King Dorefah can help you. Problem? The king has disappeared.
- Go see in the throne room from Zora’s Domain and hide behind the ledges to be able to listen to the clues given by the children, [Quête : La piste vers le Ciel],
- You will thus understand that the king is in his secret hiding placeunder the waterfall,
- Dorefah will give you 5 Royal Scales. Return to Sidon at Mipha Park to explain the situation to him. The riddle is far from over since you will now have to understand what the “celestial fish” and the “drop“,
- The walkthrough is available below, but long story short, you need to look up and spot the fish-shaped island. Reach it with a hot air balloon, and once up there, shoot an arrow armed with a royal scale into the teardrop-shaped rock.
- Once the drop is activated, go back down to see Sidon. Be careful, you will be attacked by a Like a Vase ! Luckily, the prince’s water shield will help you greatly.
The Ancient Zora Temple
- Once the Like is defeated, use your Parasail to reach Sidon to where the column of light rises above the water,
- Jump into the whirlwind that the prince will create in order to land in a dungeon,
- There you will have to raise the water level by breaking the rocks that block the water inlets,
- Cross the first room (there is a chest at the bottom left in the water), destroying the rock at the far right (a stony mallet is enough, otherwise use a bomb flower on an arrow),
- Once on the other side, you will arrive at the Ancient Zora Temple where you must destroy all rock plugs to be able to access the central temple and activate a mechanism that will make the “gateway to the heavens” appear,
The path to the Water Temple
- Once on the archipelago, you will have to use the waterfalls to climb higher and higher as well as the water bubbles that make you float. Don’t worry, you can come back to explore the islands later because there are several chests to find as well as a treasure map.
- Advice : equip yourself with a spear fused with a Discharger thanks to the power of Amalgamation.
- Along the way you will come across the Igo Xon Shrine: complete it to unlock a useful teleport point.
Water Temple
Four turbines to activate and a big boss await you in this open-air maze. You will have to travel the island to find them and take advantage of gravity to make higher jumps than usual.
