Sihoo Doro S100: we tested the most advanced ergonomic chair on the market

As a good ergonomic chair, the Sihoo Doro S100 prioritizes versatility over design, although we must recognize that for the “Frankensteins” that you see out there, it is not at all unpleasant to look at and, in fact, it looks quite good in any desk, whether in an office or a child’s room. It is also available in black with silver accents and in white with silver accents.

It has multiple options to “configure” the chair to the consumer’s taste, so that it is not the typical chair that allows height adjustment and reclines back, but rather allows you to control other aspects such as the hardness of the lumbar “cushion.” (which is not a cushion as we will see shortly), the recline angle, the height and depth of the seat, the height of the backrest, and its armrests are 6D, with two more options than the normal 4D armrests that we see in top-of-the-range gaming chairs.

How to assemble the Sihoo Doro S100?

The Sihoo Doro S100 comes packed in a large, hard cardboard box, inside which we find the disassembled chair, but also a complete assembly guide and all the accessories that we will need to get it up and running.

Sihoo Doro S100

Like all chairs, the Sihoo Doro S100 requires certain assembly steps, but everything is very well explained and we will really only need one tool for everything, which of course is included. Oh, and one detail that we liked is that it also includes gloves.

A curious fact, and look, we have analyzed chairs and until now we had never come across this, is that the manufacturer urges you not to throw away the box immediately because it can be used to help you during the assembly process.

Really, the only thing you have to do to assemble the chair is place the base screwed to the seat, then put the piston on it, the wheel support, the wheels (which, as always, fit without tools), and anchor the backrest.

Once this is done, you screw both armrests and you have the chair ready to be used. It is a process that even for inexperienced people will not take more than 10 minutes, zero complications.

External analysis and options

As we mentioned at the beginning, one of the things that has surprised us the most about this Sihoo Doro S100 is that, despite being an ergonomic chair, it does not seem out of place either, with a modern design of course, but at the same time elegant.

The mesh of the seat and backrest is elastic, made of polyester that is very resistant and since it has a mesh design it is breathable, ideal for the hottest times or for those who live in hot environments. But don’t be fooled, because although it seems like a flimsy material, it is actually quite resistant and always returns to its shape.

Practically everything in this chair is adjustable, but what has caught our attention the most is of course the lumbar “cushion”, consisting of two zones that are adjustable in height and position and which literally have shock-absorbing springs at the back.

Also striking are the armrests, made of soft rubber and adjustable in height, horizontal angle and length to achieve the best possible position, whatever the situation.

As we mentioned before, the backrest is also adjustable in height and, in this case, the headrest (or neck pillow) is integrated into the backrest itself.

Of course, the wheels slide almost without friction on any surface (they are also suitable for carpet), and in the lower area of the seat is where we have the controls to configure the depth of the seat, the height or to block the recline.

Conclusion and verdict

We have been using the new Sihoo Doro S100 for more than a week now, and we can tell you without fear of being wrong that it is one of the most comfortable and complete ergonomic chairs that can be bought today. It is true that it requires some adaptation time, especially if you come from a gaming chair, but once you find the settings that best suit you you will no longer have to touch practically anything of it, and you will have a chair adapted to the shape of your body and posture that will be comfortable even if you have to use it for hours and hours straight without stopping.

The truth is that if you are willing to give up the luxuries or design of conventional gaming chairs and decide to try an ergonomic chair like this one, in the end not only will you not regret it, but you will not want to go back to the same ones. traditional models no more.

The main drawback is that these types of highly configurable chairs are usually quite expensive, but Sihoo has a promotion right now in which you can save 250 euros, and it remains at the same price as what a mid-range gaming chair would cost you.

Of course, it is worth trying and it is what we recommend, so we can only give it our Gold award and our recommendation for its design.
