Stalhinox Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: How to defeat this mini-boss on the map?

In Zelda TotK’s mini-boss variants, few offer truly original fights and this is unfortunately the case for the Stalhinox. Skeletal counterpart of the Hinox, these beasts made of bone should really not be a threat to you.
We may not repeat this in every article about the bestiary of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but it is important to point out how weak it is. Here, we come back to one of the mini-bosses already present in Zelda Breath of the Wild and who could, possibly, give some nice objects on rare occasions.
How to defeat the Stalhinox?
- Like its flesh cousins the Hinox, the Stalhinox is sensitive at eye level; touching it there will systematically cause it to fall.
- It’s time to give it your all to eliminate it, It’s a bit tougher than the basic Hinox, but you should have no trouble getting rid of it.
- In these last 20 percent of life, the Stalhinox will drop his eye: that’s the one you’ll have to target to silence him once and for all.
Why defeat the Skull Pond Stalhinox in Akkala?
By going to the arena indicated in the image just belowyou will be able to fight a specimen of the depths guarding a chest containing a weapon from Ocarine of Time to go with your outfit of time: the sword Bigoron, which was very difficult to obtain at the time. It is very likely that you will come across one while exploring the secret underground passage that leads to the excellent soldier armor. Less common than the basic Hinox, their skeletal variant is not necessarily very interesting to fight: If they don’t guard a chest, you have no reason to waste your resources on them, unless you have one of your outfits to upgrade at the great fairies.
