With a very important reputation system that will influence the course of the main story in Star Wars Outlaws, but also the rewards to be obtained and certain missions, it is normal to wonder which faction is the best in the game. You will of course be able to improve or lower your reputation later with the different clans but attracting the good graces of a particular union can quickly become interesting.
Attention : Zerek Besh is the main antagonist of the game and thus you cannot join him as a member of his faction or influence your reputation with him.
What is the best faction to join in Star Wars Outlaws?
While we recommend that you play Outlaws however you like, choosing to go with the faction that you like the most, you might be happy to know in advance the major differences between the game’s 4 factions. Some are clearly better than others, which is why we’ve put together a tier list.
- The Pyke Union
- The Ashiga Clan

The Pyke Union
- The equipment provided greatly facilitates stealth in Imperial territories.
- Has the largest number of territories on different planets.
The Pyke Syndicate is the first faction you meet in the scenario and therefore the one you will be tempted to join as a priority. Possessing a huge number of territories on the planets, it will therefore be easy from the beginning of the game to move around freely and therefore to gain even more reputation with them and rewards (by stealing their resources or obtaining the faction gift).
The Imperial outfit they offer is not only very stylish but also grants a significant bonus: it allows Kay to pass unnoticed by the Imperials and increases the capabilities of her blaster.
The Ashiga Clan
- Provides a well-balanced set of equipment that allows Kay to take more damage
- Easy to build reputation
Isolated on the planet Kijimi, increasing the reputation of the Ashiga clan will not be very difficult. The missions are quick and almost never endanger your alliance with other factions since they mostly involve making deliveries or escorts in space.
The outfit you receive as a gift allows Kay to stay alive even when her health is low. It provides damage reduction when her health bar is low, as well as automatic blaster cooling. The bacta flask is also increased.
The Hutt Cartel
- Ideal if you like fighting
- Easy to access
No need to choose the Hutts since the cartel is less present in the main story and mainly controls Tatooine. We therefore advise you to prioritize reputation with the Pykes and the Ashiga but know that the Hutts offer very good equipment for combat. Indeed, the outfit provides a grenade buff and damage resistance.
The Scarlet Dawn
- In constant conflict with the Pykes and the Ashiga clan,
- Great for “support” abilities
At the beginning of the story, you will be tempted to choose between the Pykes and the Scarlet Dawn. You are clearly advised to go for the Pyke union because the Dawn is also in conflict with the Ashiga clan, present on the third planet. In order to avoid losing reputation stupidly with these two factions, it is therefore better not to choose the Scarlet Dawn.
Especially since the outfit offered is not very interesting. It only improves smoke bombs and stun shots for better stealth.
Is it possible to be on good terms with all factions?
Finally, prioritizing a faction from the beginning of the adventure is a good idea, but know that it is possible to have an excellent reputation with all the factions at once. To do this, you just need to complete contracts for each of the clans and avoid breaking their rules.
