During Star Wars Outlaws missions and exploration of its open world, you may encounter rocks and cracked walls that are impossible to destroy unless you have the right tool! We explain how to do it.
Spot the walls and rocks with red cracks!
While exploring the game world, you may come across cracked walls and large rocks with some kind of red markings that look like copper. You can find several such places, for example in the caves discovered on the moon of Toshara.
These obstacles seem indestructible, but when you activate Nix’s Sense, they are marked in blue, which suggests that it is possible to do something with them! As you can see, you will be able to destroy them, but unfortunately your basic blaster or grenade will not be enough. You will need to upgrade your pistol in order to get the explosive shot.
How to get the explosive shot for the blaster?
Reach the planet Kijimi as part of your main story progression (this happens quite quickly). Then complete the main quests in Kijimi until you unlock the Gunsmith quest. During this quest, you must meet the ND-5 robot aboard your ship which will then give you a component to modify your blaster.
Use the workbench on the Trailblazer (ship) to build the Ray Module using the received part – this is the last and third variation of Kay’s blaster functionality.
From now on, you can switch to the new weapon module by holding Y/Triangle while using the blaster. You can then aim at a red-marked rock or cracked wall, charge the blaster, and then fire to destroy the obstacle.
