Credits are a big deal in Star Wars Outlaws, and you’ll always be short on them if you want to raid the various shops across the galaxy. Components are essential for upgrading your speeder, gear, and ship, but money isn’t the only thing you’ll need to do to gather information. Without further ado, here are 5 ways to never run out of credits.
Infiltrate Imperial Outposts
In the open world, you will regularly enter imperial zones and may even come across well-guarded outposts. In general, with a good notion of infiltration, it is quite easy to eliminate officers and stormtroopers without being spotted: sabotage the alarms well for more chances.
On site, you will be able to loot some components to resell to the merchants but also access a terminal to remove your “wanted” status. If you succeed in the hacking game, you can get 200 bonus credits!
Avoid getting arrested or dying
Making money is good, but trying not to lose it is even better. You’ll notice pretty quickly that every time you get arrested by the Empire or the Syndicates, you lose a pretty large sum of credits. The same goes for every time you get eliminated by an enemy. Rather than letting yourself die to start a mission again, try to run away, get off the roads and wait for someone to let you go.
Play the mini-games
While Sabacc is on everyone’s lips, it’s not really the best way to make money. Instead, head to all the other mini-games available, such as arcade machines and fathier races. The Sylop mini-game (with cards) is the most interesting because it’s the simplest and allows you to win 333 credits each time.
Complete contracts
In addition to granting you reputation points with the various factions, successfully completing a contract generally allows you to earn a good sum of credits. Also, don’t hesitate to betray your allies: if you already have an excellent reputation with them, you will only lose a few reputation points while you will have everything to gain with a union whose relationship is mediocre.
Sell unnecessary items to merchants
It might not seem like it, but as you go through missions you’ll pick up a pretty absurd amount of items that are of no interest. Rings and other components that aren’t useful for upgrading your gear can be sold directly to merchants.
Also try to wait until you have excellent reputation with the factions before buying anything from their merchants – you may get a nice discount that way.
