Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter confirms release date and news in its latest trailer

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is slightly delayed but confirms a new release date and news in the latest trailer for this 2D soulslike.

Tails of Iron was one of the biggest indie surprises of recent years, a 2D action RPG with tough boss fights that earn it the title of 2D soulslike, and starring anthropomorphic mice.

This year, a sequel was due to be released, which seems more ambitious in every way, called Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, but it was delayed during Gamescom.

However, they have confirmed a new date, which is not too far away: February 2025, in a new trailer narrated by Doug Cockle (The Witcher 3, Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2).

Additionally, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is coming to PC and all consoles: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

What’s new in the new trailer for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter

Tails of Iron 2 shows the consequences of the war of the first game between the rats and the frogs. The protagonist is Arlo, son of the Warden of the Northon an adventure through the northern lands.

The game’s mountainous and snowy setting makes it ideal for a winter release in February, where huge monsters await us, including 15 giant and challenging monstersoptional, which will give us rare materials, with which we can master the four elements (fire, ice, electricity and poison) and improve our arsenal.

The game is set in a semi-open world across six different environments, inhabited by new animal factions. The sequel also increases base-building options, and even a day and night system in which the enemies that appear will change.

At the last Summer Game Fest we were able to try out a demo of Tails of Iron 2. Here are our impressions of the game, which now confirms its release date in February 2025.
