In Zelda TotK’s “Forward and Backward” challenge, you’ll need to master Link’s Retrospective power to move several marbles backwards and activate mechanisms. Here’s how to do it.
In this sanctuary of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom you will learn how to use Hindsight in the best way. Find our video walkthrough above and a written and illustrated version below.
Where to find the Tau Yosipuni shrine?
Deep in the Hebra region you will find this shrine which fortunately is not hidden in a cave but clearly visible from the sky. The Tower of the Terel Pass is the closest and the shrine is to the north, at the West Peak of Hebra.
How to complete it?
- In the first room, use Retrospective on the first ball that rolls down the slope so you can run after it as it rolls back,
- Once at the top, use Hindsight on the gear so that the chest falls at your feet,
- In the next room, walk on the slab to close the gate and prevent the ball from falling,
- Then take the ball to your left with Grip and place it behind the stone ball,
- Use Hindsight on the ball to make it push the ball into the hole and activate the grid behind you,
- In the next room, wait until the ball is on the left rails and use Hindsight: when it is between the two rails, right above the hole, press Hindsight again so that it falls and activates the grid,
- In the last room, wait until the wagon is within range of you: use Hold on the ball to place it inside,
- Then wait for the wagon, with the ball, to pass the place where the hole is and then use Hindsight on the ball only. It will then return to the hole. Press Hindsight again to release it and activate the last grid.
