It is quite simple to earn the experience in Pokémon GO in order to level upto unlock new items but also to meet more powerful Pokémon! The arena system is also only available from level 5 so here’s how to gain experience easily:
You can double your experience gain for 30 minutes by using a Lucky Egg. During this time, evolve as many Pidgey as possible into Pidgeys with only 12 candies. You will then get 1000 xp for each Pidgey evolved! This online tool will help you know how much experience you can gain with the number of Pidgey and candies you have.
Gaining trainer levels will also allow you to unlock access to new items (such as an additional incubator, rarer/stronger Pokémon, …). Pokémon will also become easier to capture as the levels progress.
