If you don’t care about losing a bit of graphical fidelity in The First Descendant and want to prioritize smooth gameplay, focus on setting most settings to Medium or Low.
It’s best to keep options like Items, Physics, and Textures on Medium to allow you to focus on some small details in the middle of battle. However, you can lower settings such as General Lighting, Reflections and Vegetation.
You can also disable Vertical Sync and Motion Blur, which can significantly improve your performance in fights with high enemy density.
Mouse Settings
You can change your mouse sensitivity and key settings in the “Options” tab of the main menu. While these will vary depending on your playstyle, we recommend increasing normal and aiming sensitivity between 35 and 40.
Keep in mind that you can also choose the sensitivity for each individual weapon. To do this, focus on the type of weapons your main character uses and adjust them accordingly.
