Everyone is free to purchase the device they want, but they did not fully understand the growing trend. It seems that Apple computers have come to have unique properties far superior to those of a desktop or laptop computer with Windows.
I’ve used Apple systems and know a lot of people who use them for different reasons. The truth is that I couldn’t switch to a computer from the bitten apple company. I’m not talking about budget issues, I’m talking about features and functions that, for me, are basic and unfeasible with Apple systems, and I’m going to tell you about them.
Reasons why you wouldn’t compare an Apple PC
I am not going to go into the most obvious reason, which is the price, since I consider this issue to be surpassed. There will be those who will say that they are worth every penny and, in my opinion, they are extremely overrated. It is a battle of perception and the company no longer only sells PCs, smartphones or tablets, it sells status.
For me the first factor is ecosystem increasingly closed and limited. The Macs only have the company’s own processors, they no longer offer solutions with Intel or AMD. For optimizing the operating system it is very good, but it limits the user’s possibilities. If the software is not optimized, performance will be poor and, even if it is, it will always be lower than systems with Intel or AMD, which may have more cores.
The next factor for me is a combination of two factors: inability to expand and planned obsolescence. Apple solders the RAM and SSD in its systems precisely to limit the updating of the systems. It forces the user to purchase the latest model when faced with an update, even though the old one may work perfectly. This leads to system obsolescence that, with an increase in RAM or change of SSD, could last many more years.
The update policy of the company also leaves a lot to be desired. From 2-3 years onwards, the company reduces the number of updates drastically, seeking to “pressure” the user when updating. There are even those who point out that updates slow down the system and worsen the experience. It could be, but since I don’t have proof either, I prefer to take it with tweezers.
Something I like to do (and many of my colleagues do) is play a game after the workday. The problem is that with the bitten apple company’s systems this is not currently possible. Their systems are incapable of moving games smoothly due to the hardware they use.
The last factor, which has a lot to do with the second, is the difficulty of updating. If something happens to my laptop, I can open it and solve the problem personally, without depending on third parties. I can replace the RAM or SSD, if there are problems. I can also take it to a computer store to have it checked, in case something fails. Apple does not allow this, and even if the system detects an unsupported component, it may crash.
