This game is literally the Harry Potter of the PS1 with an assumed parodic tone

A new Harry Potter-inspired game, revealed at Steam Next Fest, should definitely be on every fan’s wish list. And the good news is that a playable demo is available now.

Secret Agent Wizard Boy and the International Crime Syndicate is a game that proudly displays its inspirations from the Harry Potter games on PS1, with an added humorous touch.

Unlike Hogwarts Legacy, this unofficial parody game emphasizes the more absurd and offbeat side of the wizarding world.

Players are tasked with exploring Grumblemort’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (yes, that’s his real name), while attempting to uncover a sinister chest hidden deep in the castle dungeon. This reminds you of something, doesn’t it?

Secret Agent Wizard Boy should be on every Harry Potter fan’s wish list.

But unlike the PS1 classics, Harry Potter fans won’t be alone in this magical adventure. Indeed, you can team up with other wizards in online PvP or co-op game modes, adding an extra layer of madness to your experience. Plus, there are a “multitude of spells to learn” and what’s even more exciting is that you’ll be able to use them against other players.

Although the full list of spells has yet to be announced, the demo showed off some hilarious examples. A spell turns players’ bodies into jelly, making them squirm in every direction. Another spell allows you to lift objects, or even other players. If that doesn’t sound exciting enough for you yet, Secret Agent Wizard Boy also offers potions classes, well… sort of.

If you manage to find a cauldron, you can throw ingredients into it that will reward you with unique concoctions. For example, by putting deadly land mines in the cauldron, you will obtain a devastating explosive potion, which you can throw at other players or use to open secret passages.

Another potion increases the power of your spells, adding a little more oomph to your magical abilities. Although a release date for Secret Agent Wizard Boy has not yet been announced, it is likely that more spells and potion combinations will be added when the game launches.

So if you’re a fan of Harry Potter and you loved the games on PS1, don’t hesitate any longer and add Secret Agent Wizard Boy to your wish list on Steam and download demo for an overview of this unique and quirky game.
