9.2 (released May 21, 2026) is built on Debian 13.5 'Trixie' with Linux kernel 7.0, QEMU 11.0 and ZFS 2.4.

The headline feature is a Dynamic Load Balancer that auto-migrates HA guests based on live utilization — effectively DRS.

Treat it as a real maintenance event: it crosses a Debian release, so back up and go node-by-node.

Take a backup you have actually tested restoring. Not a backup job that reports success — a restore you've genuinely performed at least once. I'd say that before any major upgrade, but it matters…
