The RTX 5070 Super is reportedly finished: 18GB of GDDR7 (up from 12GB), 6,400 CUDA cores versus the standard card's 6,144.

Its rumored $549 price would match the regular RTX 5070's launch MSRP — but current GDDR7 costs may force that number up if it ever ships.

Nvidia has reportedly shelved the whole RTX 50 Super refresh indefinitely; hardware has apparently reached at least one board partner.

The stated reason is GDDR7 memory costs, driven by AI datacenter demand eating into consumer memory supply.

MSI and Colorful just raised RTX 50-series distributor prices in China by up to 59% for the same underlying reason.

Buy now, if you were going to buy a 5070-class card anyway. There's no confirmed date for the Super, the price protection it was rumored to have is already in doubt, and 12GB of VRAM on the regular…
