Free Windows 10 security updates now run to October 12, 2027 — a year later than the date most people planned around.

The free path is just enabling Windows Backup / PC settings sync. You do not need to pay the $30.

One enrollment covers up to 10 devices, and already-enrolled PCs roll over automatically.

ESU is security patches only — no features, no bug fixes, no support. It buys planning time, not permanence.
