What is Dotcoin?
Dotcoin is a tap to earn game on the Telegram platform, and is a mini-game that can be played within the Telegram app, similar to other games like Yescoin and W-coin.
Dotcoin’s interface is relatively simple, with a single “dot” in the middle of the screen that players tap to accumulate in-game currency called Dotcoins. In the future, Dotcoins will be exchanged for DOT tokens on the TON blockchain.
Instructions for playing Dotcoin game?
Those who want to start playing can simply click on the link to Dotcoin’s Telegram bot. From here, players can explore the game’s tutorial, join the game’s Telegram community, or click “Let’s go” to start the game.
When the game starts, the player will see the game’s main screen. The main screen has a center dot that the player can tap to earn rewards.
How do players increase rewards?
At the bottom of the Dotcoin main screen there is a small menu with options for players to explore, many of which offer methods to accumulate additional bonuses and increase the rate at which Dotcoins are accumulated through tapping.
The “Portfolio” button is located in the lower left corner. Here, players can view their rewards, connect their TON wallet and can earn TON. According to Dotcoin documents, every day 20 players are selected to receive 0.5 TON.
The next button on the main screen menu is “Friends.” By clicking the “Invite a friend” button, players will receive a referral link to invite others to the game. Players receive 1500 Dotcoins for each invited Telegram user and 30,000 for each Telegram Premium user.
Players can find various tasks to complete in the “Earn” section of the main screen to earn additional bonuses. Some tasks include following the Dotcoin X page, participating in other games on Telegram like Yescoin, or earning bonuses for inviting 5, 10, and 100 friends to the game.
In the “Boosts” section, players can reinvest their accumulated Dotcoins to increase the number of daily taps available, or invest in “Multitap,” which increases the number of Dotcoins received per tap. Players can also watch ads to increase their daily taps.
Players can also create and join clans, although the documentation is unclear about the benefits that clan membership brings.
How is Dotcoin different from other “tap-to-earn” games?
Although Dotcoin has many similarities with other games in the tap-to-earn genre, there are some unique mechanics, including the main tap mechanic.
On the main screen of the game, there are rings surrounding the central dot, almost like a planet. The center dot expands when the player taps quickly, and as it reaches the surrounding rings, the per-tap reward increases with each round. Taps will reset after 25 seconds, with the goal being to earn as many rewards as possible before time runs out. Players have a limited number of daily touches.
The “Boosts” section of the main menu also features a Dotcoin mini-game, which gives players the chance to double their coins as they play. Dotcoin writes in its documentation that this can help new players catch up with those who have been in the game for a while.
When did Dotcoin launch?
Dotcoin launched on March 16 and has grown rapidly as the Telegram gaming boom has followed Notcoin’s successful launch. On April 2, Dotcoin announced that it had reached over 1 million users. By May 19, Dotcoin reported 4 million players and surpassed 5 million just three days later. Most recently, Dotcoin reported over 15 million users; however, many of these Telegram games are facing questions about the number of bots boosting these numbers.
