While it is true that Black Myth: Wukong has tons of bosses, each chapter hiding a few surprises in the form of more secret bosses. The first of these, in particular, has two hidden adversaries, Elder Jinchi and Red Loong. If you haven’t managed to find the latter, I’ll tell you how to find itand everything you need to know to get rid of it without breaking a sweat.
How to unlock the fight against Red Loong in Black Myth Wukong
Well, if, after finishing chapter 1, you were surprised that you an enemy was missing to seeso you know what this is. Red Loong is such a hidden boss that you won’t be able to face him during your first pass through the mountain, but you’ll need to go to Chapter 2 to find the necessary item to be able to face him.
You must have arrived at Valley of Despair, where you will face the First Prince of the Rippling Sand. Once you finish him off, do not leave his area. Look for a wall full of statues and destroy it using the Wandering Spirit. You will open a new entrance where you can get the Loong Scales. With this, you can return to the Wolf Forest.
In Out of the Woods, take the left path and keep walking until you find yourself with a waterfall (You will hear voices guiding you to it.) There, use the scale and you will be able to find a secret entrance that will take you to where Red Loong is waiting for you. By the way, if you lose against him, you won’t have to walk here, there is an invisible checkpoint.
How to beat Red Loong in Black Myth Wukong
Don’t be overconfident against Red Loong. It’s not a difficult fight, but it’s certainly not as difficult as a Chapter 1 boss. As a tip, I recommend you don’t use Solid Rock, because Red Loong hits so hard that it will take you out of the petrified state and it won’t affect him. Let’s see his attacks:
- Lash: If you get behind him (or even in front of him), the boss will spin 360 degrees to hit you with his tail. Easy to predict, dodge, and punish.
- Magic tail flick: The tip of his tail starts to glow and he strikes twice in succession. It’s nothing to worry about and you can dodge and punish him very easily.
- Claw Combo: two hits without much complication. It does not have a very large window of punishment.
- Loong fog: When Loong falls to the ground, you will see how the “generators” on his back begin to emit a mist. Hit them many times until they break to cause devastating damage.
- Electric shock: The boss lunges at you, dealing electrical area damage. It’s one of his strongest attacks, but luckily, it’s pretty easy to see coming.
- Jump and punch. when Loong jumps back, be prepared to get hit by a tail whip. You won’t be able to punish him much, and depending on how high his position is, if you pin him down you won’t be able to hit him. Just dodge.
