After the vegetable porridge, here is a new side quest that you may have difficulty completing in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Find the video walkthrough above and the written and illustrated version below.
The Ancestral Slabs: Beginning of the Quest
In Cocorico Village, a certain traveler called Bugriwho is walking not far from the forbidden circular vestige and the chief’s house, will ask you to go visit the other four vestiges because he is afraid of heights and cannot go there himself. Since access to the village one is blocked, you will therefore have to find the other 4 and flip through each of Tauro’s reports located on site.
When you’re done, you can talk to Bugri again to get some Butterflies Volt as a reward and learn a little more about the lore of TotK.
Where to find the 4 circular remains?
The 4 remains are all around the Cocorico Village, in the heights. To help you, a map is available just in front of the gachapon machine: it shows you the position of the 5 vestiges including the one forbidden from access by Princess Zelda. Do not hesitate to report the points on your own map for more ease.
Circular vestige 1
Right behind where you found the map, and so behind the Soneaus Artifact machineyou will find a circular vestige: you just have to follow the wooden planks that serve as a path. The book is right in front of the engraving on the wall and you just have to leaf through it to validate the step.
Circular vestige 2
Don’t hesitate to teleport to the Maqa Sula Sanctuary to gain height and rush, in a paraglider, to the southwest of the village. You will then see a new vestige with some archaeologists at the entrance, under a tent. Be careful, there are some monsters to eliminate inside and 2 chests to open (one behind a rock pile). The book is located in front of the rock pile, below a new tablet.
Circular vestige 3
Teleport back to the shrine and this time head north to find a huge, mostly intact circular ruin. Use the wooden planks to reach some tents with some resting archaeologists. The book is on a table right next to them.
Circular vestige 4
From circular vertigo number 3, jump and parasail to the northeast to find the fourth and final book. You have to go around on the wooden planks to find it in a room.
