Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Dream Outfit: How to Get Link’s Awakening Skin Without Amiibo?

While it is possible to easily obtain this outfit in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom thanks to an Amiibo, you can also have it directly by exploring and completing a few puzzles. Find a video walkthrough above for more ease. Note that the Dream Outfit is part of Lambda’s quests and does not provide any bonuses. It is simply a cosmetic skin inspired by Link’s Awakening.

How to get the dream outfit?

Dream Tunic

Start from the Tower of Mount Labulat, in the Hebra region, to arrive at the purple point indicated below, at the level of the ancient colonnades. Watch out for the Griock who prowls in the distance! On one of the pillars you will find a button which, when you step on it, will trigger the mechanism of the floor slab, thus releasing the entrance to a cave.

Just go inside to find an altar with the chest.

Dream shoes

Now leave the Tower of Hyrule Field, heading towards the Ruins of the amphitheater. You will come across an Electric Griock there. It is possible to avoid its attacks but it is dangerous. Go to the ground of the arena and go around the inside until you find a sword leaning against a wall. Take it with Grip and move it into the hands of the armored soldier just to the left. This will open a secret room. Jump in to find the altar with the chest.

Dream Mask

From the Tour du Mont Labulat, go left until the Thunder Plateau. The puzzle here is a little more complex than the others. Cut at least 5 logs tree (you can use the giant mushroom types) and assemble them all together. Wait until it is noon so that the sun is as high in the sky as possible. Climb one of the towers around the ground slab and take your construction to put it, horizontally, above the slab: the shadow should activate it.

Jump into the hole to find the altar with the chest.

How to improve the outfit to max level?

As in Zelda Breath of the Wild, you will need to have access to the 4 great fairies if you want to upgrade your equipment to the maximum. To do this, you will need to complete a series of essential side quests which starts at the forest relayafter which they will offer you their services in exchange for components. This is why you should always be careful to save some precious resources.
