Prepare your Goron Armor and even Spillers because you will need them in this third big dungeon of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Upon entering the Fire Temple, Yunobo and Link will be put to the test by a mysterious voice. the objective, unlock 5 padlocks scattered on all levels of the dungeon.
How to access the Fire Temple?
Arriving at the Goron Village, you had to investigate the mystery of the Savoroche and even fight Yunobo to remove his mask. Once at the top of the volcano thanks to the wagons and rails provided, a completely different boss got in your way: Angania. To eliminate him, all you needed was an aircraft to climb high into the sky and throw your Goron friend against the red rocks.
It was then possible to throw yourself into the abyss, heading towards the depths of the volcano! Still heading towards the yellow dot on your map, you just had to place a few Lumos flowers to reach the doors of the temple.
Fire Temple: South Ground Floor, 1st Lock
- Let’s start by unlocking the lock located south of the temple. From the teleport point, go back and turn right to eliminate the robot. Jump over the lava using a rock plate and use a Spillwaywith Grip, to generate other platforms in the next lava lake.
- Now it’s time to climb into the wagon on the left rails. Hit the turbine to accelerate and use Yonobo to activate the mechanism at the end to continue straight and not turn. Once you reach your destination, eliminate the fire worm on the wall and locate the entrance blocked by red rock. Take a few steps back to find a Discharger: you will need it to make some platforms below, in the lava.
- Assemble the platforms together to build a large bridge and order Yunobo to throw himself on the wall so that it explodes: you have freed the first room! Repeat the operation against the big gong at the end of the room and the first lock will be released.
Fire Temple: 1st floor north, 2nd lock
- Now go back on your steps, towards the tracks. Tap on the yellow crystal to lift the barrier. Take a wagon to continue the path on the tracks above the lava, remembering to destroy the red rock blocking your passage.
- Also watch out for the robot that will shoot arrows at you from another wagon: throw Yunobo at it!
- When you reach the end of the tracks, tap the bell next to the car so that it turns around. Pick it up again and activate the mechanism at the end so that you can go right instead of going left.
- Once at the end of this new path, hit the blue mechanism to repair the rails and open the barrier: at the end is a chest.
- Retrace your steps and cross the wooden bridge. Hit the new blue bell to lower some rails. Get on the train car to get to the lock room. Here, destroy the red rock so that the water can flow into the lava and form platforms. Use the Hindsight power and climb onto a slab to be able to go back up to the gong.
Fire Temple: 4th Floor, 3rd Lock
- Starting from the second lock, reuse your wagon and aim at the mechanism in the distance with Yunobo to create a climb to the second floor.
- Up there, eliminate the robot and its fire weapon, and collect the soneau artifacts as well as the chest. Your objective now is to use the rails on the right by creating a propulsion minecart: a turbine and two thrusters should be enough.
- Once on the third floor, you can go and retrieve a chest even higher up but you must only use the right rail by attaching hooks to it to lift the wagon.
- Go back down in the paraglider and glue the two pieces of wooden bridge at the back of the room: this will serve as a springboard for Yunobo to explore the red rock on the ceiling.
- A cube will then fall : use the Retrospective power and stand on it to climb all the way to the top.
Fire Temple: 3rd Floor, 4th Lock
- Don’t go back down to where you went up with the cube then take a wagon back to the 3rd floor (departure point of your booster wagon).
- Now tap the right blue bell first and then the left bell to form a new rail path.
- Then go and explode the red rocks on the left and then activate the last bell that was trapped to lift the barriers. This is your starting point so place a wagon here!
- At the top, you will find enemies and a chest. Use the new wagon you find to climb even higher on the tracks. An enemy will charge at you: kill him and remove his wagon with Grip.
- Continue to the wooden bridge and go down one floor. Activate the new bell and take a wagon to move forward. Use the climb to send Yunobo to destroy the red rock which will then release a Discharger. Use the rock platforms he makes to enlarge the ramp and allow the Goron to touch the gong.
Fire Temple: Ground Floor, 5th Lock
- For the last lock, it’s right next door! Use your rising platform to go destroy the big pile of red rock on the cliff opposite.
- Then take a wagon on the right to go up the tracks. You will return to where you fell a few moments ago: then use Infiltration to go back upstairs.
- From there, look for a huge chasm and fall into it. You will find several chests and a crystal that allows you to open a grid by tapping on it. But this is where the last gong is hidden.
Now that all 5 padlocks are open, you can return to the center of the temple to activate the mechanism and face the boss of this dungeon:
