Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: In what order to do the dungeons and main quests?

Faced with a task of such magnitude, one could understand that you feel overwhelmed by the content of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Between the main quests, the shrines, the side missions… And nothing is indicated. It’s attractive for adventurous souls, but for those who want above all to play without asking questions, we offer you a solution: By following these 10 steps in the order given, you should have a pretty clear path until the quests become more directive again.

Noticed : CThese guides do not reveal any story elements and we will only talk about gameplay here. Also, this logical continuation will not at all mention anything beyond the events of the regional investigations. Expect light spoilers on the construction of the game.

Travel preparations

We start with some guides that will allow you to start the Zelda TotK epic well. You will see that some resources should not be wasted, you will also quickly understand that it is always difficult to earn money. Everything you need to start your next 200 hours of gameplay in the best possible way is right here:

Recover the paraglider

After passing the celestial island of the prelude and its 4 sanctuaries, you will be able to return to dry land, but one essential element is still missing: your paraglider. We recommend that you limit any exploration until you have recovered your trusty paraglider. It will unlock at the same time as the very first reconnaissance tower. The search for the towers is one of the central quests of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and it will allow you to reveal all the areas of the map on the surface, but also in the sky.

Main Quest: People in the Deep?

Surprise, a whole new land of exploration has opened up in the depths of the kingdom of Hyrule. Grab your lumos seeds and your best recipes, because you’re going to have to play it smart at first. Enemies are tough and apply the Miasma debuff, which curses hearts.. You will need food prepared from radiant flowers to cure all of this, or find one of the precious roots that also cures sick hearts. Take the photo requested by Faras, which will unlock this feature of the Pru’ha tablet, for the rest, you will have to wait a little longer.

Main quest thread: The Geoglyphs with Impa

Impa is in the same place as dear Noia and his Korogu nuts and she will ask you for a hand to repair her hot air balloon. Once you have done this first part of the quest, by going to see her at the temple, you can then go in search of the 10 dragon tears remaining throughout Hyrule. It’s not a very difficult task, but it’s an objective that you’ll complete throughout your exploration of the surface of the kingdom.

Temple of the Wind: Piaf Dungeon

Yes, we start with the snowy area this time. Your stock of peppers and anti-cold dishes will suffer, but it’s for a good cause. There, you will learn how to create immense currents of hot air thanks to the famous pine cones of Hyrule and the road that leads to the Temple of the Wind is an excellent moment. For this first stage of the regional investigations, the developers have done well and you should have a great time in Hebra.

Why go to Village Piaf first?

  • This is the scenario that the main quest naturally tells you. Along the way you will meet some fairly important secondary characters, including a team of journalists for a long thread of side quests.
  • The skill of the wise. This is a power that helps a lot in crossing the celestial islands and in exploration in general. To learn more about its effects, we recommend our temple guide that comes at the end of the main quest at the Piaf.

The Temple of the Deep and Duplicate, the power that will change your life

Once you’ve liberated a region, return to the Watchtower to check on your buddies. Josha will give you the second part of his quest with a new session in the depths of the earth. At the end of this quest, you will gain the powerful Duplicate power, which will completely change the way you perceive vehicle constructions. In the jargon we call it a game changeryeah absolutely. Additionally, this will kick off a very important side quest thread for the future.

Outfit to collect: Knight armor

Completing a regional investigation will also unlock a new passage in the Watchtower Headquarters.. First of all, make sure you have enough blunt weapons to break the tons of rocks that will block your path. Go nerf it, the reward is great, since it’s a great outfit to start with, the famous soldier armor already present in Zelda BotW.

Water Temple: Zora Dungeon

Head to Necluda and Lanelle for your second meeting with the people of Hyrule.. You can stop by Kakariko Village while you’re there, and why not buy the stealth set at its base price thanks to the quest The Evil of Miasma or make a teleport point thanks to the Maqa Sula shrine in the area. A little tip for your weapons on site: magic water wands and amalgams with Pourer, a soneau artifact that you will find in the celestial archipelago of Necluda. This quest thread will require you to find a hidden cave and solve a puzzle with a celestial fish, before leading you to the Water Temple.

Why go to Domaine Zora in 2nd?

  • Because these areas are not not very complicated, apart from the slippery surfaces there is no environmental penalty. You will be able to continue to gain power quietly while crossing super pretty corners: what more could you ask for?
  • This quest thread absolutely must be started if you want to get the first part of the Zora outfit. Like in BotW, it allows you to go up rivers and project yourself at high speed into the air. A must have, including for certain celestial islands.

Temple of Lightning: Gerudo Dungeon

By reaching the Gerudo Desert through the canyon to the east of the area, you will quietly enter the storm which constantly sweeps the sands of this region. Your first stop is, as in the first, at the bazaar, before starting serious things by arriving in the city. You will need to be at least a little prepared before setting off to tackle this narrative arc, You will also need heat-resistant food and to walk around in your underwear before getting the sand clothes back.

Why go to Gerudo City in 3rd grade?

  • By eliminationwhether you go here or to the Goron will only change the sage skill you will gain at the end. However, to really be at peace at the Volcano, you will have to pay several thousand rubies to obtain the set.
  • The skill of the wise allows you to fire lightning arrows very powerful without using amalgam.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Fire Temple: Goron Dungeon

Last stop, head to the center of the Ordinn region to speak to the Goron people. There, the vapors of the volcano will burn you quickly and it is impossible to use wooden weapons without seeing them burn in a fraction of a second. To breathe a minimum, you will need the famous “diving suit” outfit to resist the extreme temperatures. As for the Fire Temple, it is probably the most tricky dungeon in all of Tears of the Kingdom, so beware!

Why go to Goron Village last?

  • Same scenario as for the Gerudo: by elimination. However you might find the sage skill useful enough that you don’t want to start with this one.
  • There Goron people’s sage skill allows you to do without bombs, quite simply. It can also act as a cannon when you destroy vehicles.

And now ?

The narration will take over: describing what follows would not have much interest except to spoil you. Link’s quest is not yet finished and we will surely have other guides in stock for you, concerning the main plot of Tears of the Kingdom. but It’s still a little early to talk about it, in the meantime, good game to all!
