Here’s a new observation tower from Zelda Tears of the Kingdom that’s going to give you a problem. No monsters to kill this time or caves to find to get under but… rain! So much rain that you’d think you were in Brittany and the poor fire you try to light at the foot of the brambles goes out immediately. What to do then?
How to activate Rabelle’s tower?
- Region : East of Necluda
- Issue : the door is blocked by brambles
- Solution : burn the brambles while protecting them from the rain
Rabelle’s observation tower can take you several minutes to activate if you don’t use the right strategy. Once you understand that the weather will not be any better and so the rain won’t stop falling, you’ll have to find a way to protect brambles from water so that the fire does not go out.
Here the solution is to use the many boards made available on the sides of the Tower. Note that it is not possible to glue material directly onto the scaffolding, but you can simply place things on it. So the goal is to build a board long enough to drop onto the left and right scaffolding, in order to form a protective canopy just above the entrance.
The lanterns above the Tower door can also hold your longboard. Once the brambles are protected from the rain, arm one of your arrows with a Fire Flower and shoot them so they ignite and release the door!
If you are out of arrows or fire flowers, you can make a fire by placing a bundle of wood and a flint on the ground. Then hit the flint with a metal weapon only.
Unlock all TotK observation towers
If you want to map out your entire Hyrule map before embarking on in-depth exploration or completing the main quests, then you will need to go through the 15 towers available on the Surface. This will also unlock the sky map for you at the same time. As for the Depths, you need to illuminate them using the roots.
And while some are very simple to activate (you just have to open the doors), others like the one on the Plain are a little more complex. Those that you have to climb entirely for example to be able to jump inside or those blocked by brambles and other mud.
