Rubies are far from the only currency in Zelda Tears of the KIngdom. Among all the resources you’ll regularly come across on the map, there’s sonium, an ore that every monster on the map seems to be mining relentlessly. Here’s how to spend it in large quantities at the merchants available in the large mines.
Refiner Golem: Where to find it?
As you illuminate the different areas of the underground with the giant roots, you will see buildings and brown shapes appearing all over your map.. Go explore them to easily come across mines containing the famous golems. If you went looking for Duplicate for example, you will end up beating the boss Yiga and freeing the area, letting the golem return to his post. Generally the refiners’ stalls are empty because you have to complete specific actions in the perimeter
What does the refining golem sell?
These characters will focus on all the resources that will affect your vehicles battery. Here is the complete list of materials they have available. Be careful, stocks are limited, if you want to continue collecting crystals you will have to continue your exploration and discover other refiner golem stands.
Refiner Golem Items
- Soneau Energy Orb: 2 sonium each. Consumable that restores part of the battery. Exchange currency for distributors.
- Large Soneau Energy Orb: 1 sonium superior unit. Makes your battery unlimited for a few seconds.
- Soneau Energy Crystal: 30 sonium each. Currency used to upgrade your battery.
- Large Soneau Energy Crystal: 3 Superior Sonium per unit. 20 Energy Crystals at once
Note that not all refiners have the same stock, some of them do not sell large crystals for example. We recommend that you follow the Yiga side quest if you plan to come across some good stores easily.
Sonium and its surprising properties
This material is not only used to water the refiners, since it is also fully integrated into the construction principles of the game with Duplicata. By consuming sonium, the 5th power will directly recreate replacement parts, without you needing the materials. This is a good option for troubleshooting, but we recommend avoiding expensive sonium builds, your stock can melt away quickly if you overuse it.
