This is a particularly difficult outfit to obtain in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but it’s worth it. Once you have the full Sonium set, your batteries will last twice as long when using Soneaus Artifacts. It is of course still recommended to improve your basic battery with the refiner golems. How to get the Sonium Outfit outfit?
Sonium knee pads
The entire Sonium set can be found in the Hyrule Sky. You must therefore have enough stamina to be able to use your paraglider, but also some Soneau energy orbs to make your vehicles’ batteries last longer.
For this first piece of equipment, we advise you to teleport to the Tower of Mount Ramol, in the Akkala region, at the top right of the map. Your objective is to go to the Islands of the South Akkala Celestial Archipelago. First go to the island shown below:
Once on this island, use the available soneau artifacts to craft a vehicle that will allow you to fly to thesky island of the quarry (see map below). Land on the lowest island of this vertical archipelago.
Once there, activate the mechanism: this will trigger propellers on the three islands. Use the first one to get to the higher island and then the second one to get to the island even higher. Once on the highest island, you have to put a cube on the thruster and change its direction so that it can aim very precisely at the opening of the round planet above you.
Once the cube has passed, use the thruster to send yourself into the hole.
When you’re inside, place the cube on the mechanism so that the planet rotates on itself. Use Infiltration to get out and the parasail to find the opening at the bottom. You’ll find the chest.
Sonium flank
Now head to Lanayru Mountain Tower, at the bottom right of the map. Launch yourself into the air and head straight for the waterfall that falls from an island in the Northern Necluda Sky Archipelago. Use your Zora Armor to go up the cascade easily.
Once on the island with the pond, eliminate the golem and take the flying platform: add the missiles to it so that they point towards the island just opposite. This will propel you there. Activate the mechanism in front of you so that air currents are generated all around this new island. Take the currents with your paraglider to climb all the way to the top.
Equip yourself with the Freefall Outfit if you have it because the following test is particularly difficult: jump into the hole and avoid all the red lasers. If you succeed, the passage will remain open and you will come across the Yansa Mino Shrine.
Go just to the left of the shrine and create a stone slab on the lava (with a water fruit for example). Climb on it and use Infiltration to arrive right on the chest.
Sonium Helmet
Now head to the Tour du Col de Térel, in the region ofHebraat the top left of the map. Climb into the sky to spot a new waterfall in the celestial archipelago of North Tabanta. You’ll need a lot of stamina to reach the waterfall and Zora armor.
Once on the island with the pond, move forward to find some rails and a car : add missiles to it to propel yourself to the second island. There, go directly left to use a glider. Equip it with turbines and missiles, but also a rudder if you have the soneau artifact on you. Your objective is to go to the island opposite, up high.
On the new island, stack two springs With Grip, climb on them and hit them to propel yourself very high. You must land on the flying platform occupied by a golem.
Take a first missile and point it upwards: your objective now is to go to the island on the left, high up with a pillar sticking out. Use the second missile only after to propel yourself even higher and use the parasail to reach the island. On the left of the island, activate the mechanism to lower the water level and go to the cave where the light points.
In this cave, you will have to guide the light, thanks to the different mirrors made available, until the end of the path on the left. Do not hesitate to use Lumos seeds to locate the platforms. The chest is at the end of the puzzle.
How to improve the outfit to max level?
As in Zelda Breath of the Wild, you will need to have access to the 4 great fairies if you want to upgrade your equipment to the maximum. To do this, you will need to complete a series of essential side quests which starts at the forest relayafter which they will offer you their services in exchange for components. This is why you should always be careful to save some precious resources.
