Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Water Temple: How to complete the Zora dungeon in Lanayru?

Prepare your Zora Armor and some spillers because you will need them in this second big dungeon of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Upon entering the Water Temple, Sidon and Link will be put to the test by a mysterious voice. The objective is to activate 4 turbines scattered across all levels of the dungeon.

How to access the Water Temple?

Before arriving at the temple, you had to understand the riddle of the celestial fish but above all activate the famous passage to the heavens. If the path to the dungeon is not very complex, you will have to use the waterfalls to climb higher and higher as well as the water bubbles that make you float. Below, find the video walkthrough of the 4 turbines to activate in the Water temple.

Advice : equip yourself with a spear fused with a Discharger thanks to the power of Amalgamation.

Water Temple: Left ground floor, 1st mechanism

From the teleport point, head left to climb onto the floating platform. Once there, eliminate all the Zonaï to be safe. Take the large sphere with Grip and take it to the end of the platform, where there is a bubble generator. Moreover, the latter is covered in slime: throw a chuchu jelly or a water fruit on it to clean it.

Hold the ball in front of the generator so that it flies to the other side and do the same with Link. Once up there, take a floating slab with Grip and place it on the mechanism that allows you to raise or lower the water level. By sticking it on top and then pulling it upwards, the water level will drop and thus free the room in depth. Inside, activate the turbine using the power of Sidon’s shield: just give a blow of the sword to make the water spurt.

Water Temple: 1st basement, second mechanism

From the first turbine, where you are now, jump into the void towards the teleport point. Further down, under the island, you will see a barrier of fire: head there. To cross the firesimply take Sidon’s power by talking to him: the water shield, single use, will allow you to pass to the other side without damage.

In this new room you must use the floating slabs to be able to cross the chasm where there are deadly spikes. On the other side is the sphere you are looking for. There is even a hanging chest that you can bring back to your side thanks to Emprise. Be careful: the flying plates use Soneau energy and therefore your battery when you are on them!

The easiest way is to lower all the tiles closest to the ground and then fall down below, just before the spikes. Then build a suspension bridge to get the ball across, then a staircase to go back up. Place the sphere in its base against the wall to open the turbine room and activate it with Sidon’s power.

If Sidon is not there, you must close the fire barrier by placing something heavy (the chest for example) on the pressure plate.

Water Temple: Ground floor right, third mechanism

Return to the teleport point and eliminate the new monsters that appeared in the center. To the right of the tp point, where there is a water bubble, aim with your bow high up: you will see a water outlet clogged with mud. Shoot a Chuchu Jelly at the end of your arrow to get the waterfall flowing again. Use your Zora Armor to get it flowing again.

Once at the top, watch out for the hanging plant that spits fireballs. Once killed, it will give you a chest. In the same place is another chest under the mud. Use the water ball on the left to climb higher: as it is stuck, you must use the power to return in time.

To open the room, you’ll need to expand the turbine further to the right by adding planks to the mechanism near the waterfall. Unfortunately, the electricity doesn’t go far enough: place the water bubble between the two ends to conduct it back to the room. Activate the turbine with Sidon’s power again.

Water Temple: Ground floor above ground, last mechanism

From this platform, use the bubble generator towards your junk turbine and take a bubble to go higher to reach the last platform. Eliminate the various enemies there.

Your reflexes will be put to the test here. Walk on the floating slabs to be able to aim into the hole of the cube which is spinning at full speed. Use a arrow with chuchu jelly or water fruit tip to remove the mud, then a normal arrow to activate the mechanism that will make the turbine come out of the water. You will have understood: you have to shoot at the right time!

Before going to face the boss, collect the chest that is hidden nearby. You must create a rise so that the bubble can take you to the mini platform.

Once all the turbines are activated, return to the center of the island to open the seal in front of the teleportation point. This will summon the terrible Boss of the dungeon whose dedicated guide you can find below:
