Now that you have your Zora armor, the Zora helmet and even the Zora leggings to swim even faster and faster, you should perhaps think about completing your set of the perfect fish by crafting a weapon that is worth the detour on Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
Unlock the Radiant Scale Spear quest
Before you can access this ultimate weapon, you will first need to complete the main quest Sidon, from Zora’s Domain, and therefore have conquered the Water Temple. Once this is done, return to the Zora Domain and talk to NeltoTHE Black-smith. It is on the ground floor of the estate, at the back on the right behind the ingredients shop.
He will then tell you about the famous Radiant Scales Spear and will ask you for different resources to craft it:
- 1 zora spear (corroded or healthy, it doesn’t matter),
- 5 flints
- 3 rough diamonds
Where to find a Zora spear?
This is probably the hardest resource of the three to find, especially if you didn’t keep the one that the poor Zora stuck in the mud in front of the Tower on Zoran Plateau offers you. If that’s the case, don’t worry: here are other ways to get one easily.
- All around Zora’s Domain, don’t hesitate to explore caves to find the Lithorock monstersthe earthworm-like creatures that love to absorb your weapons and spit them out. Defeating them drops chests that can contain a Zora Spear,
- It is possible to find them in the depths on the statues,
- There is a Zora Spear exactly where it is marked on the map below, to the left of Lars’ Pond.
Where to find rough diamonds and flints?
You should logically already have some flints on you if you already have break ores with a stony mallet. If not, you can easily find some at Ordinn Mountain, in caves, in wells or in the royal secret passage under the survival shelter of Fort Guet. Even the relays provide some, with bundles of wood, in case you need to make a fire.
Regarding the rough diamondit’s a bit trickier. You’ll automatically find them in secret shrines called “Rauru’s Blessing” or by breaking golden rock clusters (very rare). You can buy them in Goron Village (1000 rupees each) and, if you want, use the duplication glitch to get enough.
Note : the spear causes 22 damage points but this score is doubled (44) if you are in a wet area (Zora’s Domain, feet in water, rain etc.)
For your information, this spear belonged to the prodigy Mipha in Breath of the Wild. If you break the weapon or lose it, it is possible to obtain another one or have it repaired from the blacksmith in Zora’s Domain, for exactly the same resources as the first time.
Lynel Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find them all on the map?
