AECIM and Arroyomolinos support the digital transformation among SMEs in the municipality

The Association of Metal Companies of Madrid (AECIM) and the Arroyomolinos City Council (Madrid) have signed an agreement to promote digitalization and innovation in SMEs in the region through the Accelerate SME Office. The agreement was signed between Juan Carlos García González, delegate councilor for the areas of Mobility, Transport and Local Development of the Arroyomolinos City Council and José Mª Roncero Gómez de Bonilla, general secretary of AECIM.

The Acelera SME Offices launched throughout Spain by Red.esthey have in their second call 2022 with a budget of €18,450,000, of which Red.es will contribute up to 80% of the eligible budget and the beneficiary entities the rest. The actions are financed by the Smart Growth Operational Program, European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) of the 2021-2027 programming period.

Content of the agreement

The main objective of the agreement is to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized companies in the city of Madrid. AECIM, as the leading organization in the representation of metal companies in Madrid, will act, through its Acelera Pyme Office, providing services and advice in key areas of digitalization.

Within the framework of this strategic agreement, the Arroyomolinos City Council and AECIM have defined a series of commitments that demonstrate their firm commitment to promoting digital transformation in the local business network. Among them, it is worth highlighting:

  • He commitment of the City Council to promote and disseminate the activities and services offered by the AECIM Accelera Pyme Office, highlighting the importance of digital transformation for business development.
  • The Accelera Pyme Office will offer free services, including in-person and remote attention to Arroyomolinos SMEs, personalized advice on digital transformation, dissemination of information on subsidies and aid, conferences, workshops, webinars, and access to public and private financing.

This agreement will be in force until June 13, 2025, aligning with the category of SME Accelerator Office granted to AECIM. Both parties reaffirm their commitment to technological development and improving business competitiveness in the region.
