During the night from Friday to Saturday, many users were suddenly disconnected from all their Apple devices. People who tried to sign in again with the same password were shown their Apple ID been locked, and were unable to reconnect. This apparently happened for no apparent reason.

If the phenomenon grew this weekend, some have been facing it for several weeks already. Most of those affected are also able to reconnect quickly with a new passwordbut others are stuck, with no way to reset it.

In a post Xuser Brayan Valderram calls Apple support:
Hey @AppleSupport all my Apple products suddenly decided to block me from accessing my Apple ID and asked me to re-verify my account. Except my password doesn’t work, even though I’m 100% sure it’s correct, I get an error. What is going on ? I can’t even reset my password!
In response, a user who experienced the same fate advised her to call Apple support by phone:
I called Apple, and they asked me to sign out of all my devices and then sign back in. It will be easier if you call them and they explain it all to you. — I had to take care of my iPad, my watch, my Apple TV and my phone. — By the way, Apple had no idea what was going on.

Apple remains silent
The apple firm has not yet communicated on this problem, whether via a press release, or directly on social networks. The web page that displays the Status services did not report anything abnormal either, including during the disconnection peak, during the night from Friday to Saturday.
Apple may still be unaware of the nature of the problem, as confirmed by reports from people who called Cupertino support.
