Now, a new rumor suggests that we may not have to wait until June since, as we read on 9to5Apple, Apple will give us a first preview of its artificial intelligence plans at the event that will take place next week, and that (unless a surprise) will be starring the new iPad Pro and Air, as we told you a few days ago. An event in which, in view of the image chosen by Apple for its promotion, it is expected that we will also see interesting news about the Apple Pencil.
This theory is supported by a prediction by Mark Gurman, who has stated that This event may also be featured by the Apple M4 chips, which we initially expected for the end of the year, and which will also focus on AI. This seems a bit forced, yes, since let’s remember that the M3 debuted in October of last year, and that we have not even seen the Ultra variant of this generation yet.
If Apple finally takes this surprising step and presents the M4 next week, it will undoubtedly do so spurred by the advances of AMD, Intel and Qualcomm in terms of the specialized AI computing capabilities of their chips. And, in that case, it would make no sense to release this new generation without giving, at least, a small preview of what it will mean for your devices and software. And although personally it seems to me that we are talking about deadlines that are too forced, the speed with which everything related to artificial intelligence is moving makes it impossible to rule it out.
