Leonardo.Ai, one of my favorite platforms for AI image creation, has introduced a new feature called Transparency that allows you to create PNG images with a transparent background by default.
This innovation goes beyond simply removing backgrounds to create image spreads with partial transparency and sharp edges, ideal for graphic design elements, print-on-demand compositions, stickers, and more.
In the notes they indicate For the highest fidelity results, it is best to use this feature on models such as Kino XL, Vision XL, and AlbedoBase XL and combine it with Alchemy v2 or Photoreal v2. Transparency also works well with Elements, further expanding your creative possibilities.
Along with the transparency feature, Leonardo.Ai integrates Realtime Gen into Realtime Canvas to create images as individual objects, with the ability to instantly remove backgrounds and adjust the order of background and object layers. A new element called Sparklecore has also been introduced, designed to create sparkly-style images reminiscent of the year 2000, ideal when used with the Leonardo Vision XL model.
Transparency features help increase the quality and variety of design projects, games, and videos, making it easy to create transparent characters, art, textures, and objects for use in a wide range of applications, such as image and video composition. 2D game assets, stickers, printed materials, etc. Surprisingly, it looks more like a tool competing with Photoshop than Midjourney. There are so many features packed inside that it would be possible to do amazing things without having to use an external platform.
The goal of all this is to simplify high-quality video production, eliminate the need for additional background removal steps and ensure perfect results from the start.
