Bandai Namco revealed a new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero last May 1st, revealing no less than 10 new characters on the “master and student” theme! The announcement was also an opportunity for us to discover more gameplay, but while we were waiting for answers to our questions, it turns out that we asked more after viewing it. A concern about the roster persists!
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero being the direct sequel to the Budokai Tenckaichi series, it must have an impressive roster because it is part of the identity of the license. This is done since no less than 164 fighters will be available from the launch of the game. But one detail leaves room for doubt: in fact, 24 places are covered by Goku, Vegeta and their different transformations, or 15% of the characters announced. Since the reveal of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, we have been able to see several characters from Dragon Ball Z and Super. The franchise clearly highlights its sequel with numerous transformations and characters like Jigen or Broly (from the Dragon Ball Super film). Unfortunately for fans, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT are missing so far! On social networks, several theories have emerged: first of all, Bandai Namco could follow the same strategy as for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot And Xenoverse 2by extending the game over time with regular DLC and offering the first part of the manga as well as GT gradually.
