Eliminate Windows 11 advertising with this free application

Remove ads from Windows 11 it is possible and necessary for users who are increasingly less interested in an operating system that continues to reduce its attractiveness with each version. Thanks to Microsoft…

Microsoft is turning Windows 11 into a big billboardbringing ads to any part of the operating system, from the file explorer to the start menu These ads join the enormous amount of junk software (Bloatware) that includes a default installation and ends up producing a really frustrating system for many users. If Microsoft wonders the reasons for the low market share of Windows 11 and why most of us continue with Windows 10, there may be an explanation here.

How to remove ads from Windows 11

A few weeks ago we published a practical article where, using the operating system’s own configuration, we reviewed the methods to deactivate the advertising that Microsoft deploys openly or camouflaged as “recommendations” or “suggestions.”

Now, a developer is making this easier with an app called OFGB that promises to remove Windows 11 ads and other grotesque “features.” The application is free and open sourceand as easy to use as downloading it from your page on GitHuh and highlight the elements to disable. Simple, fast and direct to remove ads from the lock screen, file explorer, start menu and other sections.

The developer offers two versions, one for users who have .NET 8 installed and another with everything necessary. Both are tiny in size. Remember that there are other third-party applications that allow you to get ahead of everything Microsoft puts in, allowing you to create a lighter, personalized version of Windows, with fewer ads, services and Bloatware. One of the best is Tiny11.

OFGB is open source which guarantees the verification of the code, but as always with this type of unofficial tools, use it at your own risk. We do recommend creating a previous restore point to anticipate any errors in its use.
