Will 2024 be the year of independent games?
If the comparison with the exceptional year that was 2023 is necessarily felt a little, we must admit that the year 2024 has still been able to spoil us since January. We think, for example, of Palworld, Enshrouded, Balatro, The Thaumaturge, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, Another Crab’s Treasure or of course still Helldiverse II, whose success surprised absolutely everyone and still continues to be felt today. But the best part is that this momentum is not even close to stopping since some of the most anticipated indie games of 2024 haven’t been released yet as Hades II or even a certain The Plucky Squire.
Soon a release date?
Featured at Summer Game Fest 2022, It didn’t take long for The Plucky Squire to become one of the most anticipated indie games among gamers. It must be said that between its polished aesthetic and its concept which immerses the player in a storybook while allowing them to get out of it to mix 2D and 3D levels, everything makes you want to play it. After recently announcing that the game would be translated into several languages ​​including French, the game developed by All Possible Futures has also changed its name to become The Valiant Little Page. Even more recently, the developers wanted to reassure players regarding the release date of their new baby:
