Peugeot launches a special guarantee on all its electric cars… or almost

At the end of January 2024 and on the occasion of the launch of the new e-3008, its redesigned family electric SUV, Peugeot launched a brand new warranty program. Called Allure Care, this device offers users complete coverage for 8 years or 160,000 km.

With Allure Care, the manufacturer undertakes to take care of any problems that drivers may encounter on the electric motor, the charger, the battery, the transmission or even the main electrical and mechanical components. And while we thought this program was reserved for the latest SUV from the Lion brand, it will not ultimately be the case.

Indeed, the Sochaux company has chosen to extend the Allure Care program to all electric vehicles in its range. Finally, the whole, not all, since vehicles intended for professionals like the e-Rifter or the e-Traveller still do not benefit from it.

Conversely, buyers of Peugeot e-208, e-308, e-2008, e-308 SW and therefore the e-3008 will be able to benefit from it. The manufacturer’s next upcoming wattages, namely the e-5008 and e-408, will also join the list of eligible vehicles. As a reminder, this warranty is activated automatically and free of charge for 2 years or 25,000 kilometers after each interview carried out in the Peugeot network. Clever, since in this way, Peugeot ensures the loyalty of its customers…

We initially chose France to generalize Peugeot Allure Care to our entire electric range. This is proof that we put the customer at the heart of our transformation to become the leading brand in the European electric market in 2025. With Peugeot Allure Care, we offer our customers the peace of mind they need to accelerate their own transition to new generation electric models”, said Phil York, Peugeot marketing and communications director.

As a reminder, we recently published in our columns our detailed test on the Peugeot e-3008, the redesign of the Lion family electric SUV. From what comes out, the proposal remains solid and represents a good compromise between battery size, consumption and charging speed. However, it is marred by some flaws.starting with the excessive mass of the car, the absence of a freewheel or even some malfunctions in the infotainment system.
