How to combat unwanted cold calling? This is the question that many French people ask themselves as these calls can ruin their daily lives. In some extreme cases, they are even outright scams that can cost them dearly.
The French reject untimely canvassing
According to Arcep’s latest customer satisfaction observatory, our compatriots have found an extreme solution to deal with it. Thus, a third of French people simply no longer pick up their phone when the number of their interlocutor is unknown.
A third also explains that they respond “rarely” when this situation occurs. As noted by our colleagues from 01Netthis is 6 points more than in 2022, enough to underline the exasperation of individuals in the face of this scourge.
There are other ways to counter unwanted cold calling. Even if it is not infallible, you can register your number on the Bloctel service set up by the government.
For its part, the UFC Que Choisir has launched a beneficial initiative. The consumer defense association therefore proposes the site www.respectemesdatas.fr which allows you to send an e-mail to your telephone operator. The idea is in fact to use the regulations applicable to the protection of personal data at European level (GDPR) to combat these nuisances.
This report, definitely very informative, also informs us about general consumer satisfaction. In detail, Orange obtains a flattering score of 8 out of 10 ahead of Free (7.9), Bouygues Telecom (7.6), and SFR (7.2).
