GPU deals are basically dead this month — here's the short list of stuff still worth buying

RTX 5090: $4,299.99 → $4,699.99 median (June→Aug 2026), +9% short-term but 135% above its $1,999 MSRP overall.

RTX 5070: $659.99 → $899.99, +36% in two months, now 64% above its $549 MSRP.

RTX 5060 Ti 16GB: $569.99 → $804.99, +39%, now roughly 88% above its ~$429 launch price.

RTX 5080 was the mildest mover: $1,462 → $1,500, +3%, though that's still ~50% over its $999 MSRP.

AMD and Intel cards moved far less — Arc B580 is up roughly 20% total since its 2024 launch, RX 9060 XT 16GB roughly 21% since its 2025 launch — the closest thing to a real deal left standing.

Nvidia's entire RTX 50 lineup is now 50-135% over launch MSRP, driven by GDDR7 costs rather than scalping. AMD and Intel's budget cards have barely moved and are the closest thing to a real deal…
