RTX 5060 Ti 16GB medians $804.99 on Newegg as of August 2026 — 88% above its $429 MSRP and up 39% since June.

The 8GB variant of the same card is selling around $359, close to its $379 launch price.

The gap exists because 16GB cards use twice the GDDR7 chips, and GDDR7 is the component actually in shortage — not the GPU die.

For gaming, 8GB is genuinely limiting in 2026. For light local AI, it's a real option most buying guides skip.

The RTX 5060 (non-Ti, 8GB) also rose 27% at the median, from $369.99 to $469.99, so cheap 8GB cards aren't fully safe from this either.
