2026 tech layoffs have already passed 2025's full-year total: 125,759 vs. 122,606, per tracking cited by IBTimes UK.

Zillow is cutting 500+ roles, about 7% of staff, announced August 4.

TikTok is closing its Nashville office, affecting 250 workers, effective October 5.

Etsy confirmed roughly 220 job losses on August 5, concentrated in Product and Engineering.

Salesforce cut 133 roles across San Francisco and Washington state, effective early October.

Google filed a WARN notice covering engineering, design and recruiting roles in Washington state.
